You might find that many travellers eager for Malbec head straight to Mendoza when they visit Argentina in search of wines to quench their thirst.
However, in Palermo there is a wine bar called Pain et Vin owned by husband and wife Eleonora Jezzi, an Argentine Sommelier, and Ohad Weiner, an Israeli Chef, who serve wine and sourdough bread to their clients.
We visited them to find out more about their business and how they have been impacted by the Argentine economy in the last year. Fortunately since they are based in Palermo and most of their clients are foreign tourists they haven’t been hit too hard, but have still noted a change.
